Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how NJ Kitchen (“NJ Kitchen,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit nj.kitchen, request a consultation or quote, complete our project survey, create an account, save a product selection, or otherwise interact with us.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
You can browse most of this site without telling us who you are. You provide information when you choose to use one of our request or account features:
- Consultation and contact requests — our contact and appointment-booking forms are provided through our customer-relationship management (CRM) platform and collect details such as your name, email address, phone number, and the message or project details you enter.
- Project survey — if you complete the survey, you may provide your name, email address, phone number, project address (street, city, state, ZIP), home type, renovation type and goal, approximate square footage, timeline, style and material preferences, a budget range, a free-text description, and any photos you choose to upload.
- Account information — if you create an account, we collect your email address and the profile details you add, such as your name and phone number. Authentication is handled by our database and authentication provider; we do not store your password in readable form.
- Saved selections and quote requests — the products you add to your selection, and, when you submit a request, your name, email address, phone number, delivery or pickup preference and address, requested dates, and any notes you include.
- Product inquiries and messages — anything you send us by form, chat, email, or phone.
Information collected automatically
When you use the site, we and our service providers collect limited technical and usage information, including the pages you view and how long you spend on them, the site or link that referred you, a randomly generated visitor and session identifier stored in your browser, and your browser type. Our hosting provider also derives an approximate location — country, region, city, and postal code — from your IP address, and we store that approximate location with the usage record. If you are signed in, we associate that activity with your account.
Some of this is collected using cookies and similar browser storage. See our Cookie Policy for the specific items we use.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiries and to prepare consultations, quotes, and estimates;
- To create and manage your account and your saved selections;
- To contact you about a request you submitted or a selection you left in progress;
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the website and our services;
- To understand which pages and products are useful, in aggregate; and
- To comply with our legal obligations and to protect our rights and those of our customers.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described here:
- Service providers that operate parts of this site on our behalf. These include our website hosting provider, our database, authentication, and file-storage provider, our CRM and messaging platform (which also powers our embedded contact form, appointment booking, and website chat), and the mapping service that suggests addresses as you type one. They may process your information only to provide those services to us.
- Professional advisors such as accountants and lawyers, where reasonably necessary.
- Legal and safety — where required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of NJ Kitchen, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Photos you upload
Photos submitted through the project survey are stored with our file-storage provider so our design team can review them with your request. Please upload only photos you are comfortable sharing with us, and avoid including documents, screens, or other people’s personal information in the frame. If you would like a photo you sent us removed, contact us using the details below and we will remove it.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your saved selection, and measure how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Our Cookie Policy lists what we set and what each item does.
6. Your choices
- Access, correction, and deletion. You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the details below. We will respond consistent with applicable law and may need to verify your identity first.
- Account details. If you have an account, you can review and update your profile information while signed in.
- Email. If we email you about a request or a selection you left in progress, you can ask us to stop at any time by replying or contacting us.
- Cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking some of them will sign you out and may prevent your saved selection from being remembered.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as we need it to respond to your request, maintain your account and request history, meet our legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
8. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children’s privacy
This site and our services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-party websites
Our site links to third-party websites and services we do not control, and some features on our pages are supplied by third parties. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those services, and we encourage you to review their own privacy policies.
11. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common industry standard for how sites should respond, and this site does not currently respond to those signals. You can still control cookies as described above.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be posted on this page.
